One-day training programme for Pre-school Teachers
A one-day workshop for pre-school teachers on the theme on early childhood learning was held on 27.4.2024 at Karuna Nilayam from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
More than 45 preschool teachers participated in this. During this session they were trained about early childhood development, how to deal with preschool children, how to use learning styles effectively and how to maintain teachers' mental health.
Each of the pre-school teachers also discussed what experiences they have gained from the pre-school students attending the schools they teach. The teachers reported every problem they found to the resource person and got techniques from the resource person on how to deal with the students.
Some teachers shared that many of the pre-schoolers were come to psychological problems and there was a time when they did not know how to deal with them. Therefore, a complete explanation was given by the resource person regarding the psychological problems that occur in pre-school students.
Our trained preschool teachers will approach preschoolers in a highly effective manner and engage in learning activities that match their learning styles.
Many teachers said that preschool teachers need to handle parents in a healthy manner just as they need to handle preschoolers. Therefore, an explanation was given to the parents as to how to handle them.
At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to all the pre-school teachers
